History
The Brazil Australia Official Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 26th anniversary on the November 18th, 2014. Over this period, it took on great importance in relations between these two Southern Hemisphere giants.
Completing more than a quarter century as a serious and competent organization was of great value to the two countries, which have both benefitted a lot from the association’s work, not only from an economic perspective but also on social and cultural levels.
On February 13th, 2014, COCBA had its headquarters officially transferred from São Paulo to Belo Horizonte. On this occasion, Dr. Hélio Júlio Marchi, who had presided over the Chamber for 11 years and played an important role in its success since 1997, handed over the presidency to Dr. Ezequiel de Melo Campos Netto. New directors and advisors were also elected at this time.
